How much guidance the simulator gives you, how loud it alarms, which units it reports in, how it opens, and what it keeps on this device. These are saved here and take effect immediately.
How much teaching the interface carries while you work a case.
The audible alarm fires on a new high-priority alarm — desaturation, high airway pressure, hypotension. Silence on the ventilator mutes it for that device's own mute period (30 seconds on the ZOLL, two minutes on the Hamilton); 0 turns it off entirely.
Applies to patient height and weight wherever they are shown — the case brief, the predicted body weight reference and the scenario builder. Tidal volumes and pressures stay in mL and cmH2O, which is how they are set on the device.
While a case is running, the simulator checks in to ask whether you are done once nothing has been touched for this long. It never asks during free play.
Optional. The device the simulator opens on when nothing else has been chosen; picking one from the home screen or the device switcher still overrides it.
Where the simulator starts: the menu of tutorial, simulation and scenario, or straight into free simulation on the default device.
Whether the machine is already ventilating when a scenario or free-play session opens, or starts in standby for you to switch on. Standby means the patient is not being ventilated until you press power.
Cases, graded runs and the vault code all live in this browser — nothing is tied to an account. Back them up as a file, bring a backup back in, or clear the device before handing it on.
Your graded runs live on this device. Sending them to the vault puts a copy on the server under your code, so your progress is there when you open the app on your phone or iPad. This device stays the source of truth: a run still records with no signal, and nothing is lost if the vault cannot be reached.
Open a vault above and your graded runs can be mirrored to it, so your record follows you to your other devices.
